Time to Start Typing

Open Laptop ComputerIt is time to open that laptop computer and start typing.  If your website does not have a blog it may be a good strategy for your business to start one.  In today’s fast improving technology, customers are turning to the Internet to learn about new products and services.  If your business is not also turning to the Internet to market your product or service then it is likely that you are falling behind.

By starting a blog with an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) your website can easily be updated often with great content that will make people want to come back to your site to read or even solve the problem they are facing.  This could eventually lead them to using your companies product or service.  Starting a blog today has become very simple with choices of layouts and simple visual set up so that you do not have to be a web designer to set one up.

A great strategy while starting a blog is to set up a system of who will be posting to the blog.  Also it is important not to watch over what people are writing in your blog.  Just let the posters talk about what ever they want to as long as it is good for your business.  Another option to think about is to have the owner or CEO post from time to time, as people like to hear from the owner of a company.

One suggestion I have is to type up a few back up posts in case you run into a creative block one day but want to post something on your blog, you will have a back up ready to post.

So open that laptop and start typing a blog.  It is fun and only takes a few hours a week to keep updated.
